DIN6923 is a German standard for hexagon flange nuts, a one-piece alternative to the "nut + flat washer" assembly. Its integrated flange delivers uniform load distribution, workpiece surface protection, and anti-loosening performance (notably the serrated version for vibration resistance). It streamlines assembly processes, reduces component inventory and overall costs, and is widely used for fastening in various industrial sectors.
Replace nut + flat washer for higher assembly efficiency
The integral flange eliminates the need for separate washers, reducing part count and stock keeping units (SKUs), accelerating automated production line assembly, and cutting labor and material costs.
Load distribution & surface protection
The enlarged flange increases the contact area, lowering unit pressure to prevent crushing or scratching of thin metal sheets, plastic parts, and coated surfaces. It also accommodates minor hole misalignment or oversize.
Anti-loosening (serrated type)
The serrations on the flange’s underside bite into the mating surface when tightened, creating a reverse-lock effect – ideal for vibration-prone environments (e.g., automotive, agricultural machinery, wind power).
Universal fastening & standardized compatibility
With ISO-standard threads (M5–M24), it matches standard bolts and covers strength grades including 8/10/12 carbon steel and A2-70/A4-80 stainless steel, adapting to different load and corrosion requirements.
